You have:
- Post secondary degree/diploma in a related field, completed or in progress
- Minimum 3 years of experience within IT required, preferably supporting a Cloud native environment
- Knowledge of IT systems environments including operating systems, networking, applications, platforms, and databases;
- Knowledge and experience with scripting and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience supporting cloud governance, compliance monitoring, and cost optimization initiatives
- Experience with CI/CD deployment pipelines, configuration management, and automated monitoring tools
- Demonstrated experience analyzing cloud usage metrics, cost reports, and capacity trends to support optimization initiatives
- Working knowledge of AWS cost management, monitoring, and reporting tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, CloudWatch, Trusted Advisor)
- Experience modifying cloud configurations and resources using infrastructure-as-code or scripting tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical issues
- Good attention to detail and judgement to determine when to escalate service issues to senior technical staff
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with the willingness to share ideas and solutions to technology challenges
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated experience providing quality customer service is essential
- Perform duties off hours and on an on-call basis as required
Nice to Have:
- Intermediate Cloud Certification; certification in AWS
What you will do:
- Provide front-line technical support to MPAC staff for cloud services, systems, and applications
- Investigate alerts, participate in incident response, and support problem identification, isolation, and resolution within the cloud infrastructure
- Support cloud resource monitoring by analyzing compute, storage, and networking utilization to identify optimization opportunities
- Assist with cloud capacity planning and usage reporting by reviewing trends and preparing analysis to support operational decisions
- Implement approved optimization changes using AWS native tools and scripting to improve resource efficiency and cost management
- Support the setup and configuration of cloud resources and assist with deployment activities using existing CI/CD pipelines
- Assist with patch management processes to ensure cloud services remain compliant and secure
- Provide operational and technical support to agile development teams working within the cloud environment
- Support the development of scripts and automation to streamline operational tasks and improve efficiency
- Monitor adherence to cloud governance standards using established documentation, tools, and frameworks while staying current with emerging cloud technologies and best practice
