You have:
- A university degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management, or a related discipline—or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- 10+ years of progressive experience in HR, including exposure to both HR Shared Services and HR Business Partner functions
- At least 5 years in a senior leadership or management role
- Experience in employee relations, labour relations, and policy interpretation
- Proven ability to align HR strategy with business objectives
- Strong people management and organizational skills, with experience leading high-performing teams
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
- Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset
- Ability to influence and collaborate with diverse partners and interested parties
- Willingness to travel to head office, field offices and corporate events across Ontario as needed
Nice to have:
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation
What you will do:
As Director, HR Shared Services & HR Business Partners, you will:
- Lead the strategic direction and vision for both the HRSS and HRBP teams
- Align HR service delivery with MPAC’s business priorities and organizational goals
- Collaborate with Executive Leadership and Centres of Expertise to develop integrated, people-focused HR strategies
- Drive continuous improvement in HR operations, enhancing service quality, efficiency, and the employee experience
- Use data and analytics to inform HR decisions and measure impact
- Collaborate on talent management, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives in partnership with business leaders and CoEs
- Inspire and mentor a team of HR professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and growth
- Promote innovation and modernization in HR service delivery
- Ensure consistent policy application and oversee management of complex employee relations issues
- Oversee financial planning and monitor budgets within your branch
- Represent HR across the organization and advocate for employee engagement and inclusive workplace practices
