You have: 

  • Completion of post-secondary education in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or a related field
  • At least 1 year of Human Resources experience in an HR Department 
  • Knowledge of relevant employment-related legislation and practices and the ability to interpret and apply Collective Agreement language
  • Experience using ah HRIS and applicant tracking system i.e., SAP, PeopleSoft, Success Factors, Taleo or similar
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical, planning and organization skills and ability to multi-task on concurrent projects with competing priorities 
  • Ability to maintain sensitive and highly confidential information
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license required to travel to field offices and campus job fairs

 

What you will do:

  • Provide client services support on MPAC's Recruitment process and manage the Applicant Tracking System process and tools which includes but not limited to online pre-screen questionnaires, job description inventories, job postings, and offer letter templates
  • Support the recruitment process by posting jobs, preparing interview questions and offer letters
  • Support the development and administration of testing tools for technical, professional and managerial roles
  • Produce recruitment metrics to HR team for analysis and planning
  • Establish relationships with post-secondary institutions to coordinate corporate campus events, including booking venues, preparing/assembling distributing presentations and marketing materials, and coordinating presenters/MPAC representatives
  • Attend and participate at campus networking events and job fairs as required
  • Coordinate and execute the summer student and co-op programs
  • Provide support to HR Specialists in areas of Employee and Labour Relations, Disability Management, and projects
