You have:
- At least 3 years of experience in design and development of learning and development programs
- Successful completion of post-secondary education OR completion of post graduate courses in Instructional Design, Adult Education and/or Multimedia Studies
- Advanced experience in using rapid eLearning development using authoring tools (e.g. Articulate Storyboard, Adobe Captivate, Lectora)
- Intermediate experience in interactive and graphic design (e.g. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, video and audio recording/editing) including visual design and layout skills to develop quality learning materials
- Strong project management and organizational skills to effectively manage competing priorities
- Technology-savvy – practical experience using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) - adept at listening, questioning, explaining, presenting and giving feedback
- A valid Driver’s License and ability to travel to field offices throughout Ontario as required
Nice to have:
- Completion of a CTDP or RGD designation
What you will do:
- Use rapid development tools to create interactive and engaging learning materials
- Record and edit audio, locate and manipulate stock photography and images, create visually appealing layouts and graphic user interfaces
- Analyze and transform information into learning materials and determine optimal method for delivery
- Consolidate and analyze feedback, present content variations to stakeholders with proposed solutions, seek agreement and address stakeholder concerns to obtain sign-off
- Develop and maintain learning plans, storyboards, scripts, facilitator guides, participant guides, e-learning programs, and other documents
- Write clear and concise content; ensure accuracy of information and manage the review process and craft test questions that align to the learning objectives and content
- Assist in the evaluation of learning programs and make recommendations for new learning technologies and new graphic design techniques for Manager’s review
- Assist in the creation of communication materials to inform a variety of audiences of the learning solution
