As Manager, Board Administration, you ensure the Board of Directors, its Committees, and executive leadership committees operate effectively by providing high-quality governance services.
You have strong governance expertise and manage Board and Committee activities with confidence, from shaping agendas and preparing decision-ready materials to advising internal authors and supporting Directors and senior leaders. You balance competing priorities while maintaining accuracy, discretion, and professionalism.
In this role, you will strengthen governance practices, streamline processes, and improve operational efficiency while building strong relationships with Directors and senior leaders. Your leadership and organizational skills will support a collaborative, high-performing governance function.

You have:
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Public Administration, Corporate Governance, Legal Studies, or a related field
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in corporate governance, Board administration, or a public-sector governance environment
- Experience working closely with senior executives, elected officials, or public-sector leaders
- Proven experience preparing Board agendas, minutes, and governance materials
- Strong knowledge of governance principles, Board procedures, legislation, and best practices
- Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Excellent judgment, discretion, and ability to manage confidential information
- Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Demonstrated leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders
- Willingness to travel occasionally to head office and field offices across Ontario
Nice to have:
- Governance training or designation (e.g., ICD.D, GPC.D)
What you will do:
- Lead the planning and delivery of Board and Committee meetings, ensuring agendas, materials, minutes, and action tracking are accurate and decision-ready
- Serve as a strategic liaison between Board Administration and internal divisions, ensuring governance standards and timelines are met
- Oversee Board portals, governance records, and frameworks, including the Corporate By-law, Board Mandate, Committee Charters, and policies, ensuring accuracy, security, accessibility, and up-to-date standards
- Collaborate with senior leaders and Committee Chairs to shape agendas and prepare executive-ready meeting materials including reports, briefings, dashboards, and presentations
- Preserve the official record of Board and Committee decisions and drive follow-up on actions
- Lead Director onboarding, Board education initiatives, and ongoing evaluation of meetings
- Conduct research and apply governance best practices while guiding and mentoring the Board Administration team to drive continuous improvement in processes, frameworks, and operational excellence
- Manage the Board Administration budget, vendor relationships, and contracts to optimize efficiency and resources
