As Manager, HR Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, aligning people strategies with organizational goals. You Have:

  • A university degree in Human Resources or a related discipline - or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a progressively responsible business partnering role within a broader public sector agency and/or medium to large sized private or public corporation with unionized workforces, including 3 years of program or people leadership experience
  • Strong ability to build trust and influence senior leaders with sound HR advice and guidance
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the diplomacy and objectivity to navigate sensitive matters
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people, manage multiple initiatives, and deliver results in alignment with strategic goals
  • Willingness to travel to head office, field offices and corporate events across Ontario as needed 

 

Nice To Have:

  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation

 

What you will do:
As Manager, HR Business Partner, you will:

  • Partner with senior leaders to design and implement people strategies that align with MPAC’s business priorities
  • Provide expert advice on workforce planning, organizational restructuring, succession planning, and leadership development
  • Counsel leaders on complex HR issues, including conflict resolution, and promote positive employee relations
  • Lead and mentor a small team, setting performance goals and supporting growth and development
  • Oversee the administration of performance management and compensation review processes
  • Drive HR data accuracy, compliance, and governance across systems, leveraging analytics to inform decisions
  • Collaborate with HR Centres of Expertise to develop targeted training initiatives and deliver integrated HR solutions
  • Manage budgets, third-party service contracts, and business cases to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
  • Champion MPAC’s values of equity, diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism in all HR initiatives
