You have:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline (HR, Finance, Business Administration or similar field)
- Completion of, or working towards, Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation and Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation
- Minimum 7 years of experience in progressively responsible roles in Human Resources, preferably in a unionized environment
- Minimum 4 years of compensation & benefits administration is preferred
- Strong project management and communication skills, coaching and people management skills
- Strong knowledge of HAY Job Evaluation methodology
- Ability to travel occasionally to Field Offices throughout Ontario when required
What you will do:
- Manage the administration of compensation programs including annual compensation review, variable pay program, sales compensation plan, job evaluation and pay structure development
- Manage benefits programs and conduct analysis and research in support of the annual renewal and contract negotiation process
- Provide expert guidance to leaders, colleagues and employees on total rewards solutions and challenges
- Monitor and assess changes in pension, benefits, and compensation legislation and potential implications to employees, the organization and collective agreement; update internal processes and documents as applicable
- Ensure pay equity plans are established and maintained on a regular basis
- Deliver and improve employee programs including recognition and rewards and scholarship
- Manage direct reports, set/review performance goals and provide training/coaching as necessary
