Job Description

You Have:
- Completion of post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, and/or security architecture
- Demonstrated experience providing technical leadership, including leading security projects or teams and acting as an advisor to stakeholders
- Certification as a Scrum Master
- AWS Cloud and security certifications (e.g., AWS Security Specialty, Security+, SSCP, CISSP) or equivalent experience
- Advanced knowledge of IT technologies, systems design, and development principles
- Strong leadership and agile project management skills
- Experience with scripting and automation, including PowerShell and Python
- Experience with modern cloud and DevSecOps practices, including secure CI/CD pipelines, container security, and identity and access management (IAM)
- Strong understanding of application layers and interconnectivity in cloud-based architectures
- Deep knowledge of cybersecurity standards and frameworks, including ISO 27001/27002/27017, NIST CSF, CIS Controls, and relevant regulatory requirements
- Exposure to enterprise-scale cloud security transformations
What You Will Do:
- Provide technical leadership and expert guidance to teams, helping remove project roadblocks and ensuring secure-by-design solutions
- Lead response efforts during major security incidents, investigations, and post-incident reviews
- Assess and approve security architecture and design across projects and platforms
- Identify and prioritize improvements to security controls, tooling, and processes to reduce risk and improve resilience
- Lead and support cross-functional agile teams as required to deliver secure outcomes
- Monitor security metrics, performance indicators, and risk data to inform resourcing and mitigation strategies
- Act as a senior technical advisor on enterprise cybersecurity strategy, posture, and risk
- Review and enhance operational frameworks to improve efficiency and regulatory compliance
- Drive adoption of secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions across business workflows and application support
- Stay current on emerging cyber threats, technologies, and industry trends, advising leadership on risks and opportunities
- Support development and oversight of operational and service level agreements, monitoring vendor performance and security compliance
- Support performance management, coaching, mentoring, and skills development within the team
- Assist with workforce planning, recruitment, and knowledge transfer initiatives
- Contribute to financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business case development
- Perform other related duties as assigned
