You are a detailed oriented individual who can manage tracking and control of MPAC’s procurement contracts and optimize procurement systems to enhance overall efficiency in the procurement function.

You have:
- Completion of a secondary education
- A minimum of 2 years of contract administration experience
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; and as a member of a team
- Strong organization and time management skills, close attention to detail and accuracy
- A good understanding of Contracts and Contract Management Systems
- Operational familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP
- Strong customer service orientation
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft suite applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio and procurement related databases
Nice to have:
- Experience in procurement
- Completion of post-secondary education in Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field
- Enrollment in Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) course(s)
What you will do:
- Review contracts to obtain system required information (e.g. owners, access levels, bring forward dates) and enter this information into the Contract Repository system, as well as scan and upload contracts and related documents
- Liaise with procurement officers, department management and administrative staff on the status and changes to be made to Procurement contracts
- Maintain the Strategic Sourcing and Contract Management email inbox, following up on Procurement requests and responding to queries
- Maintain the accuracy and completeness of contract information records, verifying accuracy of information, researching discrepancies, and recording information into the Contract Repository system
- Follow up with contract owners on contracts nearing expiration and update the Contract Repository system to reflect decisions regarding expiring contracts
- Make recommendations to the Manager, Strategic Sourcing and Contract Management regarding changes required to improve the contract control process
- Produce monthly, quarterly and ad hoc Procurement contract reports and follow up on actions required from these reports
- Administer procurement software including intake-to-procure software and digital bidding platform
- Conduct research to identify potential suppliers and analyze market trends
- Communicate effectively with internal and external partners to foster strong relationships, address procurement-related concerns and enhance overall supplier performance
