Become a Research and Development Analyst - Temporary Assignment Up To 18 Months with MPAC

You have: 

  • Completion of relevant post-secondary education in Real Property, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics or related field
  • Experience in product development, information technology, property valuation and/or related field
  • Experience in computerized information systems including a variety of statistical, programming, GIS, database and reporting tools such as SAS, SPSS, R, GIS, Java, Python, AI/ML
  • Proficiency in the development of scripts to automate macros/routine procedures, extend or create new procedures, and customize reports
  • Ability to work with a variety of database environments to conduct extracts, analyses and other large-scale data manipulations
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organization skills to administer and organize multiple concurrent projects and prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines
  • A high level of adaptability when working with customers to develop customized products
  • Well-developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in report writing and presentations
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others in building partnerships between teams and departments, and the ability to develop and sustain customer focus to meet the needs of client groups


Nice to have:

What you will do: 

  • Research and development of new valuation products and appraisal tools
  • Real Estate market analytics
  • Identify new product ideas and prototype development in support of cost savings, operational efficiencies and revenue generation
  • Define accurate customer requirements and specifications to document end-to-end technical product specifications
  • Evaluate process controls and conduct testing against specifications
  • Ensure compliance to testing standards, quality and product delivery timelines
  • Develop, design and execute programming in various platforms and programming languages in compliance to coding standards to produce deliverables based on customer requirements
  • Establish sustainable partnerships and provide consultation services in areas of Revenue Generating products
  • Participate as representative(s) from the Revenue Services IT team on projects related to Business Development initiatives
  • Liaise and collaborate with key stakeholders in Business Development to translate business and technical requirements into (product development) solutions as per customer contracts
  • Prepare and design presentation materials and demonstrations for meetings to various customer groups and committees, including analytics
  • Conduct process controls and ensure adherence to deadlines for contractual and legislative products
  • Develop and automate the production of regularly occurring products
  • Develop products based on requirements provided by our clients and Business Development in a timely and efficient manner
  • Assist with the continuous development of our industry leading Automated Valuation Model
