Job Description

 

What makes you great for this role?

You are a point of liaison with the business to design and implement Information Technology (IT) governance models within the department. You manage Information IT projects, processes, oversee policy compliance while ensuring a collaborative, prioritized, and strategic approach is taken.

You have: 

  • Degree or diploma in engineering, computer science or a related field is required
  • Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in IT project management
  • Knowledge of program/project management methodologies, tools and practices, and a good understanding of the systems development life cycle
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex strategic and operational issues, problem and conflict resolution, business analysis, scheduling and resource allocations
  • Proven leadership skills used to build effective teams, influence stakeholders and management, and provide strategic innovative advice on corporate priorities and resource allocation


Nice to have: 

  • Certification in Project Management (PMP), Agile and Change Management 


What you will do: 

  • Identify and lead the investigation/analysis of IT-related issues impacting departmental and corporate performance, internal and external stakeholder relationships and/or organizational effectiveness
  • Create strategic technical roadmaps to guide R&D/Infrastructure departments and provide clarity to internal stakeholders
  • Assist with building and managing high-performance technology teams, overseeing IT-related research and development, and applying Agile methodology and change management activities across the IT Department
  • Assume the role of a point of contact serving as the intermediary between Strategic Portfolio Management branch to manage and coordinate IT projects ensuring they are appropriately prioritized
  • Assist with defining, developing, designing, and tracking Key Performance Indicators & Key Risk Indicators for various initiatives
  • Design and establish IT governance and compliance models, manage cost controls for cloud environments, advise senior management on governance processes, and oversee the development and improvement of IT policies to ensure legal and regulatory compliance
  • Prepare and deliver briefing materials and Board Reports for the Chief Information Technology Officer (CITO), write impactful business cases, collaborate with technical and business leadership to ensure security and compliance, and maintain accurate records of incident and problem resolution activities
  • Promote a team-based and customer-oriented approach to service delivery
  • Detect staffing and training needs to build and implement development plans
