Job Description

Experience & Technical Expertise:
- Minimum 5 years of progressively hand-on software development experience
- At least 2 years of experience in a senior technical development capacity leading analysis, design and implementation activities
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including:
- Data structures and algorithms
- Object-oriented design principles
- Programming patterns and software design patterns
- Experience applying software engineering best practices, including:
- CI/CD pipelines
- Automated testing
- Source control management
- Technical documentation
- Hands on experience implementing complex business processes using, Flowable BPM Platform (work, design, control, and Flowable Forms, including: BPMN / CMMN / DMN Standards
Development Technologies:
Experience working with one or more of the following:
- Java and Python
- PostgreSQL
- AWS technologies including Lambda Functions
- Elastic Search
- KubernetesJavaScript, React and TypeScript
- HTML and CSS
- RESTful APIs
- Messaging and integration technologies
Business & Consulting Skills:
- Demonstrated experience translating business requirements into effective technical solutions
- Ability to evaluate options and recommend cost-effective, scalable approaches
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
Nice to have:
- Certification earned or in progress in the above technologies
What you will do - Lead. Design. Deliver.
As a Senior Systems Developer, you'll play a key role in the design, development and support of enterprise applications while helping shape technical direction and best practices.
Your Responsibilites:
- Lead the analysis and design of information systems solutions that address business needs
- Provide technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle
- Design and develop scalable, secure and maintainable solutions
- Create prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate technology approaches and architectural decisions
- Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability and extensibility requirements
- Lead investigations and troubleshooting efforts for complex production issues
- Support deployments of new systems, enhancements and integrations
- Provide senior-level technical consultation regarding solution design, effort estimates and resource requirements
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, architects and infrastructure teams
- Mentor and coach junior developers and technical staff
- Research emerging technologies and recommend tools, standards and practices aligned with Enterprise Architecture
- Provide ongoing application support and participate in production support activities as required
