You have:
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary education in an IT-related field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cloud/Infrastructure programs, with a confirmed return to school in September
- Basic understanding of IT systems environments including operating systems, networking, applications, and databases
- Interest in cloud technologies and IT infrastructure operations
- Exposure to scripting, automation, or technical troubleshooting through coursework or projects
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Self-motivation, a collaborative mindset, and a willingness to learn from experienced team members
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and follow instructions while meeting deadlines
- Must meet Ontario's minimum working age for the job duties required
NIce to have:
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts or the OSI model
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- An understanding of agile methodology or team-based project work
What you will do:
- Support the IT team with day-to-day operational activities related to infrastructure, systems, and cloud environments
- Assist with monitoring systems and helping identify, document, and escalate technical issues when needed
- Help log and track service requests or incidents while learning standard IT support and troubleshooting processes
- Assist with basic automation tasks such as scripting or supporting monitoring and logging activities
- Support cloud infrastructure activities such as configuration updates, documentation, and environment maintenance
- Work collaboratively with the IT team to troubleshoot issues and support staff in their use of technology and systems
- Perform other duties as assigned
Summer Student Wage Rates:
- Summer Students currently enrolled in secondary school or students working solely on administrative activity: $17.60 per hour
- Summer Students enrolled in post-secondary, first-time hire: $18.35 per hour
- Summer Students enrolled in post-secondary, returning employment: $19.35 per hour
Duration of Employment: May through to the end of August
