Job Description

You have:

Enrolment in secondary or post-secondary education, with a preference for post-secondary education in Computer Science or a related field; returning to studies in the next academic term
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Strong oral and written communication skills
Self-motivation, be a team player and possess action-and-results oriented skills
The ability to meet deadlines and implement instructions under pressure
Must meet Ontario's minimum working age for the job duties required.

Nice to have:

An understanding and/or demonstrated experience in writing quality code
Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, HTML, C, Python and other programming languages

What you will do:

Write well documented code, based on inputs, guidance and direction from the team
Support with the creation of simple prototypes ensuring that quality attributes (performance scalability, extensibility) are met
Support with basic implementation design, approved by the Manager, Information Technology
Assist with system testing, ensuring that established test routines have been completed

Summer Student Wage Rates:

Summer Students currently enrolled in secondary school or students working solely on administrative activity: $17.20 per hour
Summer Students enrolled in post-secondary, first-time hire: $17.95 per hour
Summer Students enrolled in post-secondary, returning employment: $18.95 per hour

Duration of Employment: May through to the end of August
