You have:
- Enrolment in secondary or post-secondary education, with a preference for post-secondary education in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related studies; returning to studies in the next academic term
- Demonstrated experience with graphic design and video editing software
- General proficiency in all MS Office suite of applications
- Excellent organization skills to work on concurrent priorities with tight timelines and ability to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy
- Must meet Ontario's minimum working age for the job duties required
What you will do:
- Support the Strategic Communications team in researching and creating written and visual marketing materials and presentations
- Assist in researching and recommending appropriate distribution methods or channels for marketing materials
- Contribute to the planning of social media campaigns and the monitoring of social media accounts
- Assist with posting content on the website and intranet
- Provide administrative and clerical support by filing, organizing shared drives, and scanning branch documentation
- Assist in the editing and writing of internal newsletters, intranet banners, engagement stories, etc.
- Help the Strategic Communications team with various projects, tracking project deadlines and bringing issues forward to the manager, ensuring that they have been resolved within the appropriate time standards
- Assist with monitoring the communications mailbox and distributing related messages to the Strategic Communications team in an efficient manner
Summer Student Wage Rates:
- Summer Students currently enrolled in secondary school or students working solely on administrative activity: $17.20 per hour
- Summer Students enrolled in post-secondary, first-time hire: $17.95 per hour
- Summer Students enrolled in post-secondary, returning employment: $18.95 per hour
Duration of Employment: May through to the end of August
