You have: 

  • Enrollment in secondary or post-secondary education, with a preference for post-secondary enrollment and returning to studies in the next academic term
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work well independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to follow proper procedures and problem solve effectively
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Must meet Ontario's minimum working age for the job duties required
     


Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of Geographic Information System Software
  • Basic awareness of Ontario’s Land Registry System


What you will do: 

  • Review list of (orphaned) properties and identify their geo spatial location using MPAC Mapping Software
  • Review a list of sale transactions to ensure all corresponding condominium plan units are included and mapped within the condominium polygon boundary
  • Create and submit change order requests for any identified errors or modifications required to MPAC’s parcel fabric
  • Retrieve, categorize, and create logs and/or files for land registry records
  • Assist in keying alpha/numeric property related data, in an accurate and timely manner
  • Validate information in MPAC database with documentation received
  • Bring forward any irregularities or discrepancies to Supervisor’s attention, as required 
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Summer Student Wage Rates:

  • Summer Students currently enrolled in secondary school or students working solely on administrative activity: $17.20 per hour
  • Summer Students enrolled in post-secondary, first-time hire: $17.95 per hour 
  • Summer Students enrolled in post-secondary, returning employment: $18.95 per hour


Duration of Employment:  May through to the end of August
