In this role, you will play a pivotal part in attracting and hiring top talent that reflects MPAC’s values and advances our corporate strategic plan. As a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, you will partner with hiring managers to guide them through best-in-class recruitment practices and lead the full-cycle recruitment process. You will create innovative sourcing strategies that drive impactful hiring outcomes and promote inclusive hiring practices to enable business success and strengthen MPAC’s workforce.

You have:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management, Business Management, or another related discipline - or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- 5 years of experience in the HR industry, with 3 years specializing in full-cycle recruitment in a corporate HR or unionized environment
- Experience with modern sourcing, including direct outreach to passive candidates
- Proven experience advising hiring managers on inclusive hiring strategies and providing strategic guidance throughout the end-to-end hiring process
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, research, analytical and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to build strong relationships, networks, and partnerships, with a clear understanding of business priorities, challenges, and their impact on people
- Demonstrated knowledge of HR practices and applicable legislation
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite, Human Resources Information Systems, Applicant Tracking Systems, and sourcing platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter
- Willingness to travel occasionally to head office, field offices, corporate events and attend campus recruitment events across Ontario as needed
What you will do:
- Oversee full-cycle recruitment for open positions, including developing talent strategies, sourcing and screening candidates, designing assessments, conducting interviews, managing reference checks, negotiating offers, and supporting the onboarding process.
- Partner with HR and hiring managers to advise on recruitment strategies, inclusive hiring best practices, and use of applicant tracking systems
- Create engaging and customized job postings, recruitment content, and digital materials
- Build and maintain talent pipelines through outreach, social media, networking, job fairs, and partnerships with schools and industry contacts
- Track and analyze recruitment metrics to identify trends and improve processes
- Support the development and delivery of training for hiring managers on inclusive and effective hiring practices
- Stay current with leading best practices, employment legislation and introduce innovation into the recruitment process
- Collaborate with procurement to manage preferred supplier relationships (e.g. search firms, background check providers)
