You have:
- Post-secondary education in a related discipline such as human rights and equity, humanities, social sciences or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- At least 5 years demonstrated experience in equity, diversity, inclusion, anti-racism, or a related field, with a focus on learning and development (L&D), training, or facilitation
- Ability to develop and deliver engaging learning content on complex EDIA topics
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across different teams, including the L&D team
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to facilitate discussions on sensitive or complex topics
- Ability to analyze and apply data to assess the impact of learning programs and identify areas for improvement
- A passion for fostering an inclusive and equitable work environment
- Solid organizational and prioritization skills, including attention to detail, project management, and multitasking abilities
- Knowledge of digital tools and software, including the Microsoft Office 365 suite of products, Google Workspace, and learning management systems (i.e., uLearn) for developing training materials
- Energy, resourcefulness, and hands-on approach to work
Nice to have:
- Experience with e-learning platforms or other digital learning tools
- Certification in EDIA or related fields (e.g., DEI certification, HR certification, Adult Learning Certification)
What you will do:
- Assist the Manager EDIA in developing and refining a training plan that supports employee authenticity and integrates diverse, decolonial perspectives
- Collaborate with L&D to assess training needs, design inclusive training materials and deliver training on equity, diversity, inclusion, cultural competency, anti-racism, and bias, incorporating global and Indigenous perspectives
- Organize and facilitate virtual and in-person training sessions at various locations on topics like Unconscious Bias, Cultural Competence, Emotional Intelligence, and Inclusive Leadership, creating an empowering environment that reflects EDIA best practices
- Partner with Management and Human Resources to address cross-cultural and racial dynamics, provide coaching and offer strategic EDIA recommendations to address emerging issues
- Collaborate with leaders and internal partners to refine EDIA supportive policies, practices, and initiatives, and ensure diverse perspectives are represented in EDIA education events
- Assess training effectiveness through data analysis, recommending improvements and setting strategic goals to address skill gaps and incorporate emerging best practices in EDIA education and training
- Support additional EDIA initiatives, including strategy implementation, programming, and community engagement
