You are a results-driven individual who demonstrates strong expertise in equity, diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism (EDIA) with a strategic approach to advising on policy development. You have a keen ability at providing proactive guidance, fostering an inclusive culture, and collaborating with diverse teams to develop processes and policies.

You have:
- Post-secondary education in a related discipline such as human rights and equity, humanities, social sciences or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- At least 5 years demonstrated experience in equity, diversity, inclusion, anti-racism, or a related field, focusing on policy development and implementation that reflects EDIA principles
- Strong understanding of EDIA policy issues (e.g., social policy, environmental policy, health policy)
- Familiarity with research methods and data analysis techniques
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for conveying complex ideas clearly
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess policies and make recommendations
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse internal partners and build relationships
- Adaptability to changing priorities and evolving policy landscapes
- Understanding and commitment to EDIA principles in policy development
Nice to have:
- Certification in EDIA or related fields (e.g., DEI certification, HR certification)
- Proficiency in relevant software for data analysis, policy modeling, and presentation (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, statistical analysis tools)
What you will do:
- Conduct policy research on EDIA initiatives, analyzing trends and identifying opportunities for advancement
- Develop, update, and support the implementation of policies to promote equity, diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism
- Evaluate existing policies and emerging social issues, providing strategic recommendations to senior management on enhancing EDIA practices
- Support the development and communication of EDIA policies both internally and externally
- Facilitate discussions and decision-making with diverse partners to gather input, build consensus, and drive the development and implementation of EDIA initiatives and policies aligned with best practices
- Assess EDIA-related issues from internal partner consultations and presents strategic approaches to address challenges and advance organizational priorities
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners to ensure alignment and collaboration of EDIA objectives
- Guide employees on EDIA principles and policies through training, support, and fostering an inclusive culture
- Apply an EDIA lens to research, analyze data, and consult with affected groups to inform policy and system development in collaboration with the Senior Data Advisor
- Build strategic relationships with internal partners to drive the development and implementation of equity, inclusion, and anti-racism policies
- Stay informed on emerging EDIA trends and proactively recommends policy enhancements and process improvements aligned with the organization’s long-term equity goals
