Become a Lead, Industry & Valuation Programs - Temporary Assignment up to 18 Months with MPAC

 

The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) is made up of a team of experts who understand local communities and assess every property in Ontario. You have: 

  • Successful completion of post-secondary education (university degree or college diploma) in Business Communication or Administration, Public Administration, Communication, Commerce, Economics or related field
  • At least 5 years experience in account/relationship management
  • Experience in developing project plans that support change management principles and in managing stakeholders 
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, and work both independently and collaboratively, sharing ideas and solutions to overcome challenges and build consensus
  • Proven ability to quickly understand complex subject matter
  • Superior communication – writing and speaking for impact
  • Demonstrated consultation, planning, problem solving, research and analytical skills
  • Proficiency with use of Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint 


Nice to have: 

  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications and systems
  • Completion of, or working towards, certification in real property assessment
  • Experience in real property, valuation, taxation or municipal/government administration


What you will do: 

  • Establish, develop and maintain relationships with key representatives in the property assessment and appraisal industry, including property owners, related associations, and businesses
  • Support the delivery of key valuation programs including stakeholder consultation, traceability and transparency, operations, analytics and other initiatives
  • Proactively plan and execute on key programs and projects working with external stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Proactively monitor local delivery of MPAC’s products and services and identify, assess and ensure resolution of issues
  • Leverage your local relationships by actively undertaking consultation campaigns with stakeholders for change management issues
  • Execute education and marketing programs to enhance stakeholders’ awareness and understanding of MPAC’s role in the property assessment and taxation system, and our products and services
  • Monitor and report on political, legislative, economic, market and industry conditions to ensure understanding of stakeholders’ needs
  • Ability to develop and execute stakeholder engagement plans
  • Develop a strong network of relationships with external industry stakeholders and within MPAC to mobilize the right people, resources and ideas to support account management and program delivery
