Job Description

What makes you great for this role?
You are able to provide guidance and technical planning to support the adoption and integration of Cloud technology, design and architect Cloud application standards and automated solutions that can be used as a framework for future builds, plan and monitor the implementation of new/enhanced services, systems and applications in accordance with DevSecOps and change management policies and procedures.

You have: 

  • Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related
  • Valid professional AWS or Cloud Certification required, preference to AWS certification 
  • 7+ years of progressive development experience in a senior technical capacity
  • 3+ years of IT Team Lead experience, with a demonstrated ability to coordinate and lead a team of technical staff
  • Advanced knowledge of cloud architecture and application deployment on AWS including operating systems, security, networking, and cloud native services
  • The ability to manage competing priorities requiring flexibility, time management, multi-tasking and on-going prioritization of work
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret information, troubleshoot technical issues and develop creative solutions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to liaise with clients, vendors, project teams and peers and to prepare project and briefing reports, and systems documentation
  • Perform duties off hours and on an on-call basis as required.

 

Nice to have:

  • CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certification

 

What you will do: 

  • Secure MPAC’s Cloud-based solutions to ensure the security posture is maintained and enhanced moving forward
  • Management of key AWS security controls such as IAM, Security groups, WAF & Shield, GuardDuty, Certificate Manger, Security Hub, Detective, and Macie
  • Ensure that Cloud solutions developed are aligned to Cloud best practice blueprints, playbooks, security and compliance requirements
  • Provide technical support to junior staff and to the agile development teams
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams (e.g. Operations, Development and Quality Assurance) to enforce and maintain and enhance the security posture
  • Design and maintain security dashboards, metrics and analytics and use state of the art monitoring tools to gather insights and then act upon the results
  • Create and execute test strategies to validate security controls to ensure the posture is maintained and enhanced
