You are a team player who can present recommendations of process improvement and best practices to Central Processing Facility Management from the identification of errors through process control of parcelization and condominium products in regards to Assessment Notices.

You have: 

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an assessment and a valuation capacity
  • Demonstrated experience in data collection and sales investigation
  • In depth knowledge of the sources of assessment data requirements
  • Thorough knowledge of property assessment terminology and legislation, and valuation policies and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of economic factors affecting values of various property types and with advanced market research, analytical and problem solving skills to resolve complex valuation and parcelization issues
  • Strong comprehensive understanding of the parcelization process; cost, income and direct comparison approaches to value
  • Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Assessment Applications (IPS, EMS, WorkSight) and Statistical Software programs

 

Nice to have:

  • Completion of a related post-secondary program such as Business Administration, Law Clerk, Real Property Administration, etc
  • Prior experience in a parcelization coordination role

 

What you will do: 

  • Mentor Central Processing Facility staff to provide technical guidance and advice in resolving complex issues
  • Work with the Learning and Development group to update, develop and deliver training materials 
  • Investigate and resolve escalated inquiries and requests from the Customer Contact Centre via direct calls and/or in-person field office visits
  • Reply to assessment record requests from taxpayers, municipal clients and internal customers
  • Conduct process controls on parcel boundary and property data updates related to parcelization, condominium process and associated products
  • Provide recommendations on revisions to processes and procedures and collaborate on quality improvement initiatives
